Under the radiant Broome sunshine, the Allure South Sea Pearls marquee at the 2017 Broome Cup was an oasis of style, luxury and of course – glamour.
From the moment the 250 VIP guests stepped inside the stylish sanctuary, they were treated to an unforgettable racing experience. Monochromatic interiors layered with raw timbers set the scene for racegoers to escape Perth’s winter, and replace with a sea change of clear skies and relaxation.
The marquee was hosted by Allure South Sea Pearls’ co-founders William (Bill) Reed and Lindsay Youd, with their guests enjoying Asian-inspired fare by Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa. These delicious bites were complemented by Moët & Chandon, McHenry Hohnen wines and Poor Toms gin and tonics.
Iconic Broome band the Pigram Brothers entertained the guests, followed by the deep, smooth vibes of DJ Reklusiv to get the party started.
While the marquee was a showstopper, it was the stylish collective of racegoers that were the highlight of the much-anticipated event. Allure sponsored the Fashions on the Field competition, with the lucky winner receiving a $2,000 voucher.
Pops of colour and unique prints were amongst the top trends embraced by racegoers, with an abundance of these stylish women complementing their vibrant hues with pearls and striking headpieces.
The trio of judges, the ever-stylish Libby Youd, Denise Satterley as well as 2017 MasterChef contestant Tamara Graffen, were bestowed with the challenging task of selecting a winner across the sea of stunning entrants.
They awarded the top accolade to glamazon Kat Kelly – styled in a unique blue and black pencil dress, set off with gold accents.
