It was a day of glamour and elegance for those who attended the Allure South Sea Pearls Marquee at the 2016 Broome Cup
Inspired by the ocean, the marquee was adorned with natural textures and beachside accents to provide the perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy an exhilarating day of country racing. Racegoers were treated to clear skies and radiant sunshine for the event, held just a stone’s throw away from the picturesque Gantheaume Point.
Hosted by Allure co-founders William Reed AM and Lindsay Youd, WA’s business elite were in attendance, including property developer Nigel Satterley and wife Denise. Guests channelled the marquee’s neutral tones in their outfit selection, with monochromatic dresses and two pieces a timeless choice. Patterned dresses and pops of colour were also amongst this year’s trends and naturally, pearl jewellery was the feature of many an outfit.
The stylish scene amplified the rivalry for Fashions on the Field, with ‘The Bachelor’ contestant Nikki Gogan judging this year’s competition alongside Allure South Sea Pearls’ Libby Youd and media personality Rayne Embley.
The event was topped off with a visit from retired champion jockey Jim Cassidy, who was carrying important baggage with him in the form of the 2016 Emirates Melbourne Cup.
Much like the exquisite beauty of South Sea Pearls, the entire day was draped in elegance with guests being treated to flowing Champagne and French-inspired far by Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa.
