Size
The value of pearls increases exponentially as the size increases. A pearl 11 millimetre in diameter is not priced at 10% more than one of 10 millimetre diameter, but rather at about 30% more, and this basic formula continues as the size increases. This is because of the rarity of the larger sizes.
